The 2018 Lancaster Wissanger (GSM) is bursting with luscious ripe red berry fruit with an edge of spice.
On the nose it's reasonably light, with red berries and a hint of white spice.
The palate brings soft, spiced berry flavours and a round mouthfeel. The shiraz bolsters the mid palate but it's still on the lighter side.
Wissanger was the name of the vineyard under which the Taylor family operated a successful viticultural enterprise during the 1900’s. In 2002 the vineyard was purchased by the Lancaster Family. Made from selected hand picked fruit from Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro ( Mourvedre)
Our tasting notes: Light and fruity on the nose, hints of white pepper draw you in with what is to come when you taste it. Plenty of red berries up front, with a peppery bite.
