Mangan Red Moon

Cullen winery needs no introduction to most, consistently producing some of WA's best.

The 2020 Red Moon is a blend of 52% malbec, 38% petit verdot and 10 % merlot, all grown on Mangan Vineyard. It has had no fining and has spent 7 months in 15% new oak. Hand harvested and naturally fermented, it is a wine which reflects the land where it is grown.

Aromas of forest berries with raspberry, mulberry and redcurrant. A juicy, exuberant palate with red fruit flavours and youthfully grippy tannins.

Partners in Wine WA notes: Certainly red fruit dominant, almost like a slightly under ripe raspberry and the grippy tannins compliment each other. Lighter body than I was expecting given petit verdot is 38% of the blend. It's pleasant and easy drinking.
