Revered as the iconic red wine of Sicily, Paul Conti's Nero d’avola thrives in the warm Mediterranean climate of their homestead vineyard in Woodvale. A nose of an an ever-so slight ripe, fruit cake character combined with European earthiness.
A medium-bodied, robust and voluptuous red, the 2019 vintage exhibits dry cherries, dark chocolate and abundant ripe plum characters against a smooth fine palate and velvety tannins. Serve with grilled lamb or richly sauced pasta dishes with caper and olive undertones.
Paul Conti was WA’s first vigneron to bring customs-approved Nero d’avola vine cuttings into the State.
