Single Site Pinot Noir
The Rockcliffe Single Site 2018 & 2021 Pinot Noir is pure elegance.
A perfumed bouquet of bramble fruits and savoury spice. The palate is textured and long. The savoury earthiness flows into plums and cherries. The palate has serious textural weight with a host of complex detail that is worth exploring.
Partners in Wine WA notes: Wow! Absolutely delicious. Cherry, Berries & an Earthy presence all balance together. More medium bodied for a pinot. Up there with the best WA Pinot I've ever had.
The highest of GOLD ratings, bordering on PLATINUM.
James Halliday Comments:
I am yet to taste a Western Australian pinot that I thought tasted like, well, pinot. Until now. Sensual, crunchy red-fruited pinot billowing sex appeal along chiffon-like tannic rails, powdery and fine, with a burst of acid perk across the finish? None. Until now. This is it. Nothing floozy. Nothing too sweet.
