The Sum Cabernet 2019
The aromatics are breathtaking with a blackberry and leafy core with nuances of tobacco leaf and cedar. A medium-bodied palate with ripe, supple tannins is in fine tune with careful oak nuances. Designed for early drinking to make the most of the vibrant fruit, this wine has the structure to suit a wide variety of food and further complexity will develop over the ensuing 5-7 years.
Partners in Wine WA notes: Possibly the best Cabernet I've ever tried at this price point. Aromatics are amazing! It's juicy dark fruits are all on point.
Halliday Wine Companion rating system

This kind of quality for under $20? Bring it on. This is the younger, sweeter, juicier and plumper sibling to the estate cabernet. It has all the regional greatness from Frankland: ferrous, gravel, petrichor and firm tannin structure. But in this context, all of it gently sidles up to bouncy blackcurrant fruit and leaves us with a glass of straight-up pleasure. Cheap doesn't mean 'cheap' – if you want to learn this lesson, start here.
