Vintage 2024 ☀️

The 2024 season brought a cool start and steady, warm and even ripening through summer. This allowed the fruit to develop generous citrus flavours while retaining natural acidity. With no major heat spikes and a dry, settled finish to the season, the Riesling from Langton Vineyard reached an ideal balance of freshness, aromatics and structure.

Tasting Notes 🍇

  • Colour: Pale straw with bright green reflections.
  • Aromatics: Lime blossom, fresh lemon, and hints of passionfruit with a light floral lift.
  • Palate: Fine and delicate with crisp acidity. Lemon, lime and grapefruit flow through the palate with touches of green apple and subtle spice.
  • Finish: Long, fresh and chalky with a soft lemon sherbet character.

Accolades

Wine Companion93 Points
“Fruit off Block 6, Langton vineyard 50+ years old. Of course you’d ask for another glass as the first went down a treat. Always refreshing and lively with its spring blossom fragrance, lemon-lime flavour, all juicy and tangy with snips of fresh herbs. It’s quite tight, almost lean on the palate, although in time it will garner more complexity as today, in its youth, it’s led by racy acidity”

Ray Jordan92 Points
An intense and lively riesling sourced from old vines on the Langton vineyard just on the edge of Mount Barker. Spicy aromas over a mix of lemon pith and green apple characters immediately engage. The palate is pure and lively with plenty of racy flavours building to a long finish. It was a hot season, but the cooler southern vineyards seemed to manage pretty well”
