Out On A Limb Reserve Pinot Noir
Sitting alongside the Kalgan River, a serene and unique part of the Great Southern. The landscapes mountain ranges, rivers and seas meet to create an unique microclimate ideal for growing cool climate vines making our wine a distinctive product of this special place. The vineyard planting began on our farm in 2014, on a stoney ridge set above the Kalgan River. A cool prevailing breeze travels up the river valley throughout Jan – Mar each year; often bringing with it ocean fog and drizzle from the nearby Southern Ocean. These conditions make our vineyard one of the coolest in WA during the crucial grape ripening months, therefor creating the ideal climate and terroir for a premium cool climate wine production.
The 2022 Reserve Pinot takes the very best fruit from the Vintage in the Great Southern.
This is a rich, bigger bodied style Pinot with big fruit and oak intensity matched together. Luchious Cherry and Raspberry aromas follow through onto the palate with complex, multi layered elements of the fruit and earthiness match in well with the silky tannins.
