About RiverBank Estate
A long-established Swan Valley winery. RiverBank Estate traces its beginnings back to 1982, giving it a long connection to the Swan Valley and a solid place in the story of the region. Set on the banks of the Swan River in Caversham, it has developed into a winery that is known not only for its wines, but also for the broader experience built around the estate.
Family ownership and a hospitality focus. Since 2017, RiverBank Estate has been owned by the Lembo family, who are also known for Caversham House. That family ownership has helped shape RiverBank Estate into more than just a winery, with food, events and hospitality sitting naturally alongside the wine side of the business.
A winery with a broader destination feel. One of the things that sets RiverBank Estate apart is that it is not presented purely as a bottle shop brand or cellar door label. It is a destination within the Swan Valley, with wine sitting as part of a larger estate experience that includes dining, events and a strong local following. That broader identity gives the wines a different feel to some smaller, more purely vineyard-focused producers, and it is part of what makes the label so recognisable.
A new winemaking chapter. Your current page refers to Colby Quirk joining in late 2022, but RiverBank Estate’s current team page now lists Daniel Struckman as Senior Winemaker, having joined in 2025. That suggests the winery is in a newer phase again, while still building on the estate’s established reputation.
Why the wines appeal. RiverBank Estate’s range is well suited to customers who enjoy Swan Valley wines with plenty of drinkability and local identity. On your site, the current selection leans into accessible, good-value bottles including bubbles, Grenache, Tempranillo, Verdelho and Vermentino, which gives the range a fresh and versatile feel.
