In 2017, the Lembo Family—renowned proprietors of the iconic Caversham House—took the reins of Riverbank Estate. Under their stewardship, the winery has flourished, earning accolades such as a coveted 5-star rating from the prestigious Halliday Wine Companion.

In November 2022, acclaimed winemaker Colby Quirk, previously of Sittella Winery, joined Riverbank Estate as the head winemaker. Known for his innovation and expertise in crafting exceptional sparkling and still wines, Colby is leading the way with a new era of exciting wine creations at Riverbank Estate.

Meet the Lembo Family

Riverbank Estate is proudly owned by siblings Eric, Tony, and Pina Lembo. With decades of experience in hospitality, the Lembo trio has been at the helm of some of Perth’s most celebrated ventures since 1998. Their flagship business, Caversham House, is a renowned venue for weddings and events, celebrated for its exceptional service and timeless elegance.

Under their family-operated company, Avanti River, the Lembos bring a forward-thinking, guest-focused approach to Riverbank Estate. “Avanti”—meaning “to go forward” or “come forward” in Italian—reflects their mission to continuously innovate while warmly welcoming every guest into the Riverbank family.
