Volo
Volo is a small Western Australian wine label with a modern, personal feel, built around expressive small-batch releases and a clear winemaking point of view. Created by Binh, the range brings together regional Margaret River fruit, polished drinkability and a style that feels both contemporary and approachable.
About Volo
Volo is the personal wine label of Binh, a winemaker based in Dunsborough with formal wine training in France and experience across several wine regions before launching his own label in 2020. That background gives the wines a thoughtful foundation, but the overall feel of Volo remains fresh, easygoing and very much its own.
There is a boutique quality to Volo that suits the range well. Rather than trying to be broad or overly polished, the wines feel focused and personal, with a clear sense that they are being made by someone with a strong connection to both winemaking and flavour.
A small-batch Margaret River perspective
Margaret River fruit sits at the heart of the Volo range, and that regional base gives the wines structure, brightness and varietal character. The current line-up on our site, including Tropical Dry Rosé and Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon, already shows a label interested in wines that are expressive and enjoyable, while still carrying a recognisable sense of place.
That makes Volo a good example of the smaller side of Western Australian wine. The label does not rely on a long estate history or a large portfolio. Instead, it stands out through clarity of style, regional fruit and a more hands-on identity.
A label shaped by personal winemaking
Part of what makes Volo appealing is that it feels closely tied to the person behind it. Binh’s training and wider winemaking experience give the wines confidence, but the label still feels personal rather than formal. There is a nice balance between technical understanding and drinkability, which helps the wines feel polished without losing their warmth.
That sense of personality is often what makes smaller labels memorable. Volo feels like a producer worth following as the range develops, especially for customers who enjoy wines with a more individual story behind them.
