The 10 Chains Estate Semillon is dry with plenty of fruit flavour. Light and refreshing. Can you taste the crushed wild flowers?

Now with 6 years of bottle aging, this is starting to change characteristics. After 8 years an aged Semillon starts to show rich oaky notes that weren’t there before, even if the wine hasn’t spent any time on oak.

Kate and Shaun Woods own and run 10 CHAINS, along with help from family and close friends. It is such a beautiful part of Australia with such amazing grape-growing credentials. There is a real passionate about what is produced.

The wines are currently made under contract by Michael Ng and his talented team at Silkwood Wines, Pemberton.

Why the name 10 Chains?
There is a strong sense of heritage in the Pemberton and Northcliffe regions of the South West of Western Australia. The original “Group Settlement 123” map, drawn in 1924, shows the land on which our vineyard now stands. It contains the scale of : “10 Chains to an inch”, hence where our name is derived from.
