Tasting Notes:

The 2024 Shiraz et al presents a bright red/purple hue, showcasing its vibrant character from the start. The nose is inviting, with classic Shiraz aromas of plum, strawberry, and liquorice. The Malbec and Grenache introduce bright cherry, wild berries, and pomegranate, giving the wine an intriguing complexity.

On the palate, the wine is fresh and pure, with rounded tannins and generous fruit flavours. The playful tannins from the Grenache add a touch of texture, balancing out the wine’s smoothness and leaving a satisfying, refreshing finish.

Vineyard and Winemaking Process:

The 2024 vintage benefited from a mild spring and moderate summer, resulting in optimal ripening conditions. The fruit for this wine is sourced from top-tier vineyards in Margaret River, where the unique terroir ensures vibrant fruit expression.

The winemaking process is focused on preserving the fresh fruit character while extracting fine tannins and vibrant colour. The Shiraz, Malbec, and Grenache were fermented separately, with whole bunch fermentation on select Shiraz parcels. Pumpovers and delestage techniques were used to extract optimal tannin and colour, before the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 6–9 months prior to blending.

Vintage Overview:

The 2024 vintage in Margaret River experienced mild spring conditions, followed by a moderate summer that allowed for ideal ripening and fruit expression. Warm days and cool evenings helped maintain excellent acidity and balance, resulting in wines that are fresh, vibrant, and full of character.

Wine & Food Pairing Recommendations:

  • Main Courses: BBQ pork ribs, spicy slaw, grilled sausages, or any other BBQ favourites.
  • Cheese Pairings: Aged cheddar, blue cheese, or a creamy goat cheese.
