It’s simple and uncomplicated like an entry level shiraz should be. It’s all about the fruit here, which feels clean and little to no Oak influence. It’s obviously not going to knock your socks off at this price point, but it’s still easy drinking and very good value all things considered. Think of it as a great 2nd bottle to open on a good night when your first bottle has already cooked your palate.

Tasting Notes 

Colour: Deep ruby red with dark crimson tones.

Aromatics: Black plum, blackberry and dark cherry, with hints of pepper, mocha, dried herbs and subtle oak spice.

Palate: Smooth and generous, with ripe dark fruit through the middle. Plum, cherry and blackberry flavours are supported by gentle spice, soft tannins and a rounded mouthfeel.

Finish: Dry, savoury and satisfying, with lingering dark fruit, mocha, spice and fine tannin.

Serving and Cellaring 

Serve: 16 to 18°C

If the bottle has been sitting at warm room temperature, give it 15 minutes in the fridge before serving. This helps keep the fruit fresh and the tannins smooth.

Decant: Not essential. A quick splash in a large glass is enough, although 20 minutes in a decanter will help the dark fruit and spice open up.

Cellaring: Best enjoyed now to 2028 while the fruit is generous and the wine remains fresh and approachable.
