Evans & Tate Sauvignon Blanc

The Evans & Tate Wild Cape Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is a critically acclaimed wine, having won numerous awards for its exceptional quality and unique expression. This wine captures the best of the Margaret River region, where the combination of favourable growing conditions and careful winemaking results in a fresh, vibrant wine that is both complex and refreshing.

The wine presents a light, vibrant hue with a youthful lime green tint, indicative of its freshness and youthful character. The nose is bright, expressive, and layered with typical Sauvignon Blanc aromas. The scent of lime leaf, fig, and lychee is joined by the more tropical notes of mango skin. Subtle undertones of cut grass, lime zest, and delicate white flowers add complexity and freshness to the bouquet.

On the palate, this Sauvignon Blanc is flavoursome, with a long and delicious finish. Lychee, lime cordial, and ripe tropical fruits burst through, supported by a crisp, refreshing acidity that keeps the wine bright and lively. A small parcel of the wine was wild fermented in used French oak puncheons, adding a layer of texture and complexity that sets this wine apart. The result is a harmonious balance of fruit, freshness, and subtle oak influence, making it a truly memorable wine.
