The history of Evans & Tate dates back to 1971 when John Evans and John Tate first planted vines in the Swan Valley. Three years later, they purchased land and planted a vineyard in Wilyabrup, in the heart of Margaret River, which they named Redbrook.

In 1987, the Evans & Tate Margaret River Classic (Semillon Sauvignon Blanc) was first released. Over 35 years on Evans & Tate remains one of Australia’s best-selling Margaret River wine brands.

Matt Byrne (Senior Winemaker) and Feleasha Prendergast(Winemaker)

Matt has been the custodian of Evans & Tate winemaking since 2001 and has played a pivotal role in driving the style and quality of the E&T range. Feleasha, having finished her Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology in 2013, went on to gain winemaking experience all over the world. Both of their expertise and hard work keep Evans & Tate an award-winning winery.
