The 2020 vintage is 54% Semillon and 46% Sauvignon Blanc.
The Parterre series of SSB offers far more complexity and interest, plus they pair better with food than the usual stainless-steel tank-fermented Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends. They take this blend to a higher plane usually reserved for fine barrel fermented Chardonnays and well worth hunting down.
A luminescent pale straw green colour in the glass. Lime, snow peas, passionfruit, vanilla and gooseberry. A lovely lemon-lime citrus freshness in the mouth and a hint of fennel. The creamy vanilla texture from extended barrel maturation gives the wine a long textural finish to soften the acidity a touch.
10 months in combination of new and old French oak.
