Lake House Premium Reserve Shiraz

Bold | Complex | Fragrant

The Lake House Premium Frankland River Shiraz offers a deep, aromatic experience with rich dark fruits, mocha, and liquorice. This Shiraz showcases the best of Frankland River with its balance of fruit intensity and complex oak influence. Toasty oak notes of vanilla, pepper, and spice complement the ripe black cherry and blackcurrant, leading to a savoury mid-palate of liquorice and dark chocolate. The long, fine tannins ensure a smooth finish, with the premium French and American oak adding an elegant layer of complexity.

Review:

92 points – Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion

Spiced mulberry, blackberry and licorice on the nose. The palate falls in line, with additional medjool date, quince, and bitter cocoa. While the density and concentration of flavour is spot on, those Christmas cake characters feel a touch out of place in a wine so young. The oak plays a big role right now, too. This is merely an observation, as it is delicious. Good length of flavour rounds this out.
