Sittella was founded in 1993 by Simon and Maaike Berns in the Swan Valley, where the couple gradually turned a shared passion for wine, food and place into a long-running family-owned winery. From the beginning, the estate developed with a broader vision than wine alone, bringing together vineyard, cellar door and restaurant in a way that still feels central to the identity of Sittella.
