Bright | Elegant | Mineral

The Leeuwin Estate Art Series Riesling of 2025 is a beautifully fine and expressive Margaret River Riesling that continues the strong reputation of this celebrated label. Bright, fragrant and precise, it captures the variety’s natural purity while offering a more polished and elegant style than many of its regional counterparts. Aromas of citrus leap from the glass, supported by hints of galangal and kaffir lime that add freshness and subtle exotic lift. On the palate, the wine is tightly coiled and refined, with lively natural acidity giving shape and energy from start to finish. There is a lovely sense of restraint here, with the fruit carried by a chalky mineral line that keeps the wine focused, long and beautifully refreshing. While immediately appealing for its brightness and clarity, this is also a Riesling with enough structure to reward short to medium-term cellaring. Elegant, aromatic and wonderfully food-friendly, it is a superb choice for lovers of finely styled Australian Riesling.

Accolades

“While tasting at Leeuwin, bedazzled by chardonnay and impressed by cabernet, I was gently reminded that this stalwart from some of the oldest vines on the property is as good as ever. Soft lemons, limes, a little pith and leaf in there with the juice. A fine, talcy breadth across the palate.”
93 points – Nick Ryan, The Australian
“Ah, this smells wonderful, like a citrus grove, especially of lemon and mandarin blossom, and there are some fennel fronds wafting through. The palate is juicy and lively with more lemony goodness, some lime juice with talc-like acidity making this so refreshing.”
93 points – Halliday Wine Companion
“Leeuwin Estate has stuck with its riesling over the years, and it’s a good thing too. In the best years, it really does come up trumps and this one stacks up with any previous releases. It’s one of the finest and most delicately presented rieslings I can recall from Leeuwin, with a sort of talcy, bath salts character, albeit somewhat subdued, and a minerality that threads endlessly. Faint hint of lemon rind and spice, and a crunchy mouthfeel, with an extended palate profile. This is a pretty smart example of a Margaret River riesling.”
