Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Chardonnay 2025

halliday top 5 star winery logo

Citrus ~ White peach ~ Nougat and pastry

The Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Chardonnay of 2025 is a beautifully composed Margaret River Chardonnay that manages to feel both generous and precise. The season at Ribbon Vale was steady and measured, with enough rainfall to keep this dry-grown vineyard comfortably supplied, and a mild summer that allowed flavour to build without rushing. The result is a Chardonnay with lift and clarity, plus a quietly savoury edge that makes it seriously food-friendly.

In the glass you’ll find citrus and white peach, preserved lemon and subtle florals, with restrained oak sitting in the background. The palate is medium to full bodied, shaped by fine phenolics and fresh acidity, then layered with stone fruit, citrus, nougat and fresh pastry notes. It finishes long, composed and balanced.

Why You Will Love It

  • Classic Ribbon Vale Chardonnay balance, generous flavour with real line and freshness
  • Citrus, white peach and preserved lemon, with subtle nougat and pastry complexity
  • Hand picked and whole bunch pressed, then finished in French oak for polish
  • 32% new French oak barriques, used to frame the fruit, not dominate it
  • Structured for long cellaring, but already very enjoyable with food
