The one, the only, the Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon from Leeuwin Estate continues to rate in Margaret River’s top wines each year. A nose which is greeted by blackcurrants and dark cherries alongside anise, clove, cardamom, and bay leaf. It is highly lifted and perfumed with lavender and basil flowers. Complexity is evident with iodine, saline and petrichor notations. Dark forest fruits surround cedar, olives, and graphite. There is distinct minerality threaded within, leading to a fine silky tannin profile.

The Lake House Premium Frankland River Shiraz bouquet reveals rich dark fruits, mocha and liquorice, complemented by toasted oak with notes of pepper and spice. Initial flavours of black cherry and blackcurrant lead to a rich complex mid-palate of liquorice and dark chocolate and subtle spiced savoury notes. Finishes with long fine tannins and toasty spice and vanilla of premium French and American oak. A fragrant, rich and complex example of Frankland River Shiraz.

The Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Merlot is regarded by many as WA’s best Merlot. Like every year the 2020 vintage is exceptional. The nose opens with a lifted display of the dark fruits, especially blackberries and blueberries. Merlot is lauded for its dark fruit notes and the 2020 has this in spadefuls. The same theme follows on the palate, with intense blackberry and cherry notes in the mid palate, sitting over a firm but balanced structure. It captures the theme of 2020, with lively acid and firm tannin and on the finish the oak is toasty. 2 Years spent on new French Oak. 88% Merlot with a splash and a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon (6%) and Cabernet Franc (6%)
