Rockcliffe Wines Nautica Shiraz

Rockcliffe Winery, nestled in the gorgeous Denmark region of Western Australia, is a gem that’s been making waves since 1987. Inspired by the majestic granite cliffs that shape the vineyard, their wines capture the essence of the land, blending tradition with a touch of geological magic.

Experience the elegance and depth of the Nautica Shiraz, a wine crafted from hand-picked berries grown in the mineral-rich soils of select Great Southern vines. This exceptional Shiraz opens with a captivating bouquet of dark forest fruits, white pepper and smoky oak. On the palate, it unfolds layers of dark cherry, plum, liquorice and earthy ironstone, intertwined with bold flavours of dark chocolate and a smoky finish. The luxurious texture is enhanced by dry earthiness and tightly woven chalky tannins, delivering a sublime and memorable experience from start to finish.

Perfect Pairings:
The Nautica Shiraz pairs beautifully with hearty meats such as grilled lamb chops, beef tenderloin or a savoury venison stew. Vegetarians will appreciate its harmony with roasted portobello mushrooms or a rich vegetable stew. For a decadent treat, pair it with dark chocolate desserts to enhance its smoky and chocolatey notes.

Whether you’re hosting an elegant dinner or savouring a quiet evening, the Nautica Shiraz is a bold, complex and unforgettable wine—a shining example of Great Southern’s winemaking excellence.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Despite the convenience of having Denmark mains water just 40 metres away, we’ve opted for complete self-sufficiency in water usage. We utilise filtered dam water for irrigation and cleaning purposes, while filtered rainwater – predominantly collected from our roofs – is used to rinse anything that comes into contact with our wine, including pipes and tanks, as well as for drinking water.

Our overarching goal is to operate at the highest environmental standards possible. We’re dedicated to being as sustainable as we can, ensuring that every step of our winemaking process reflects our commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.
