Peaceful Bay Shiraz 2021

Rockcliffe Peaceful Bay Shiraz

Nestled in the enchanting Denmark region of Western Australia, Rockcliffe Winery is celebrated for its exceptional wines. Surrounded by the lush Karri forest, Rockcliffe’s winemaking adventure began in 1987 with the planting of Pinot and Chardonnay vines. The winery’s name is inspired by the granite cliffs below their vineyard, which lend their wines a distinctive character. The interplay between the land and the vines creates a unique terroir that defines Rockcliffe’s wines, blending tradition with the geological wonders of their location.

The 2021 Peaceful Bay Shiraz is a testament to Rockcliffe’s dedication to crafting approachable, quality wines at an approachable price point. It boasts elegant aromas of dark red fruits, complemented by a subtle hint of toasty oak. This Shiraz offers a lighter, fresh profile with juicy acidity and gentle tannins, making it an easy-drinking red that’s perfect for a variety of occasions.

On the palate, the Peaceful Bay Shiraz delivers a satisfying experience, with its juicy and vibrant fruit flavours and balanced structure. It’s a delightful choice for those who enjoy an easy drinking, fruit forward  Shiraz.

Pair this charming Shiraz with braised meats or hearty stews to enhance its flavour profile. It also goes well with a range of dishes, from roasted vegetables to grilled sausages.

Partners In Wine WA tasting Review: First off this is light on in it’s fruit intensity. It’s clean and very easy drinking. It has a place in our fridge when you feel like something lighter.

At Rockcliffe Winery, premium quality and sustainability go hand in hand – it’s at the core of everything we do! We source 100% of our energy from renewable solar power, with any excess energy carefully stored in lithium batteries.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Despite the convenience of having Denmark mains water just 40 metres away, we’ve opted for complete self-sufficiency in water usage. We utilise filtered dam water for irrigation and cleaning purposes, while filtered rainwater – predominantly collected from our roofs – is used to rinse anything that comes into contact with our wine, including pipes and tanks, as well as for drinking water.

Our overarching goal is to operate at the highest environmental standards possible. We’re dedicated to being as sustainable as we can, ensuring that every step of our winemaking process reflects our commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.
