Third Reef Rosé 2022

Rockcliffe Winery Third Reef Rose

Rockcliffe Winery, set in the stunning Denmark region of Western Australia, is a true gem surrounded by the enchanting Karri forest. Inspired by the majestic granite cliffs beneath the vineyard, their wines capture a harmonious blend of tradition and the natural character of their land.

Now, let’s dive into the 2022 Rockcliffe Third Reef Rosé. This delightful Rosé is a celebration of red berry goodness, with vibrant aromas of strawberries and raspberries that instantly lift your spirits. In the glass, you’ll notice a beautiful, pale pink hue that hints at the freshness within.

On the palate, it’s a treat – plump, but fresh with a delightful stream of red fruit flavours, making every sip a pleasure. The 2022 vintage leans towards a drier style, thanks to its 63% Shiraz and 37% Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The result is a Rosé with a perfect balance, offering a crisp, clean finish when served chilled.

This Rosé is fantastic with light summer fare – think fresh salads, grilled seafood, or even a platter of cheeses and charcuterie. It’s also great on its own for those lazy afternoons in the sun.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Despite the convenience of having Denmark mains water just 40 metres away, we’ve opted for complete self-sufficiency in water usage. We utilise filtered dam water for irrigation and cleaning purposes, while filtered rainwater – predominantly collected from our roofs – is used to rinse anything that comes into contact with our wine, including pipes and tanks, as well as for drinking water.

Our overarching goal is to operate at the highest environmental standards possible. We’re dedicated to being as sustainable as we can, ensuring that every step of our winemaking process reflects our commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.
