The Singlefile team was delighted to receive the news that the 2022 Singlefile Great Southern Rosé was awarded a gold medal at the 2023 International Rosé Championship (IRC) held in Poland in May. The IRC is intended to be the biggest international wine competition in the world that focuses specifically on rosé, and attracts entries from the world’s renowned rosé producers including France, Italy, and Germany. The 2022 Singlefile Great Southern Rosé was one of only twenty wines awarded the gold medal at this year’s competition, where only two Australian wines numbered in the gold medal results. They are thrilled to have their rosé recognised alongside such notable international examples of the style.

The jury represented an international panel chosen from renowned wine journalists, sommeliers and enologists, including three Masters of Wine. Among the juror’s comments on the 2022 Singlefile Great Southern Rosé: Nicely fruity and balanced [with] elegant and fine aromas; earthy on the nose, white fruit, fresh and spicy on the palate; pale [in colour], pineapple, crunchy peaches and apricot, surprisingly ripe, full-bodied [and] balanced with good acidity.

Unfortunately, these results came through just as the 2022 Singlefile Great Southern Rosé sold out at the cellar door. Luckily enough we still have stock here at Partners In Wine WA
