Flowstone is the creation of long-time Margaret River winemakers Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald, whose partnership brings together deep experience, careful vineyard thinking and a genuine connection to the land. The winery has a small-scale feel that suits its identity, with wines made in limited quantities and shaped by a hands-on approach from vineyard to bottle.

That smaller scale is part of the appeal. Flowstone does not feel broad or overly commercial. Instead, it feels focused, personal and built around the idea that good wine comes from patience, curiosity and close attention to place.

The Margaret River setting and Flowstone style

Based in Margaret River, Flowstone is inspired by the natural environment around it, including the ancient limestone cave systems that run beneath this part of the region. That connection to the landscape is woven into the winery’s identity, with the Flowstone, Moonmilk and Queen of the Earth ranges all drawing their names from these underground formations.

The wines themselves reflect that same sense of place.
