The 2024 Singlefile Great Southern Rosé is a more serious, dry, Provence style rosé using the Italian varietal of Sangiovese.

Singlefile Rosé is a delightful and elegant wine with vibrant flavours and refreshing character. Crafted by Singlefile Wines, a prestigious winery in Western Australia’s Great Southern region, this Rosé showcases the perfect balance of fruitiness, acidity, and finesse. On the palate, this Rosé delivers a crisp and lively experience. It delights with flavours of ripe red berries, such as strawberries and cherries, intertwined with hints of citrus zest and a touch of minerality. The wine’s vibrant acidity adds a refreshing zing, while its medium-bodied nature provides a smooth and satisfying mouthfeel.

The 2024 Great Southern Rose grapes were picked on 1st and 28th February. They were gently destemmed and crushed directly into the press with approximately two hours of skin contact occurring prior to a gentle press. The free run juice was handled oxidatively and remained on full solids for two days before rough racking and the introduction of an indigenous yeast to initiate fermentation. Following a slow and cool fermentation, the wine was rested on its lees in stainless steel tank for four months prior to preparation for bottling.
