The vineyard is home to old vines planted on deep gravel loams, with an east-facing slope that captures the morning sun, resulting in exceptional balance and intensity in the wine.

Vintage Overview:
The 2022 vintage in Margaret River was outstanding, with a wet spring and late flowering setting the stage for a warm and dry growing season. This combination of conditions produced wines with refined flavours, elegance, and great personality.

Winemaking Details:
The fruit was fermented solely in static fermenters, with pump-overs and delestage techniques used to extract fine tannin and colour for up to 10 days. Primary fermentation was completed in tank before the wine was racked into a selection of new and older French oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and aged for 18 months. This careful approach to winemaking highlights the unique character of the vineyard and the potential of the vintage.
