Duke's Vineyard

Porongurup Single Vineyard Shiraz 2022

Duke’s Vineyard Single Vineyard Shiraz 2022

Dukes Vineyard is renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to showcasing the distinctiveness of its vineyard sites. The Single Vineyard Shiraz 2022 is a prime example of their commitment to producing expressive and high-quality wines that highlight the unique characteristics of the Shiraz grape and the Porongurup terroir.

In the glass, the Shiraz displays a deep, dark ruby colour. Its bouquet is inviting, with fragrant aromas of black cherry and a hint of spices that set the stage for its complexity.

On the palate, this Shiraz offers a full-bodied and captivating experience. It presents a harmonious blend of ripe black fruits, such as blackcurrant and blueberry, intertwined with nuances of dark chocolate and subtle spice. The wine’s velvety tannins and well-integrated oak contribute to its structure and depth, leading to a long, satisfying finish.

This Shiraz pairs exceptionally well with a variety of dishes. It complements rich, hearty meals such as roast lamb or beef steak and works beautifully with robust dishes like a slow-cooked beef stew. It also goes well with mature cheeses, making it a versatile choice for both casual and more formal dining occasions. Although delicious now, this Shiraz has the potential to age gracefully for 10-15 years, should you have the patience to cellar it.
