The Happs Winery story starts with its foundation in 1978, Happs and Commonage Pottery has a long and inspiring story as one of the pioneering, family-run wineries and in the Margaret River region.

It all started way back when, two local high school teachers, Erl and Ros Happ fell in love in 1969.

This young, passionate, adventurous couple had boundless enthusiasm and drive to create. This love of creation manifested itself in many ways, particularly in creating pottery and wine. To this day it remains a family-owned business who believes that wine, art and culture should be accessible and enjoyed by everyone for generations to come. We hold a deep passion for the land and culture with sustainability at the forefront of our values. We consistently push boundaries, embracing innovation and striving for continual improvement in our methods, all to deliver the finest, most captivating high-quality wines for your enjoyment.

Happs Wines of Margaret River are going to give the Experience of full flavour with their extensive wine selection. Each bottle is meticulously handcrafted from a harmonious blend of over 20 distinct grape varieties, resulting in an unparalleled taste sensation. Whether your palate leans towards the robust notes of Malbec, the elegant complexity of Sangiovese, or the enchanting aromas of Nebbiolo, our collection promises something exquisite for every wine enthusiast.

Outstanding wine is the outcome of an outstanding team, led by winemaker Mark Warren, who has been creating delicious wines at Happs since 2003. Mark is an accomplished wine judge and lecturer, with extensive experience crafting wines for many acclaimed wineries. When Mark isn’t busy overseeing our wide range of wines, he somehow finds time to produce his own wine under the Marq label. He even manages to sneak in the odd fishing trip. The outstanding vineyard crew led by Andy Coventry & Bill Parsons keep the Three Hills Vineyard & Dunsborough Vineyard in the best of health.
