The Leeuwin Estate Rosé of 2025 is a pure Shiraz rosé that nails the Margaret River sweet spot: pale, vibrant, dry and seriously refreshing, while still carrying real flavour and shape. In the glass it leans into lifted watermelon rind, rosehip and pink grapefruit, with subtle notes of raspberry and blood orange adding extra sparkle.

On the palate, it’s all about bright acidity and clean lines. You get strawberry skin, red liquorice, cranberry and pomegranate, backed by a gentle savoury nuance and a fine phenolic grip that keeps it tight and food-friendly. The finish is crisp, mineral and perfectly balanced, with lingering citrus zest that makes you want another sip straight away.

Tasting Notes

  • Aromatics: Watermelon rind, rosehip and pink grapefruit, lifted by subtle raspberry and blood orange. Clean, focused and expressive.
  • Palate: Bright, finely tuned acidity gives drive and tension. Supple mid-palate texture with delicate phenolic grip. Strawberry skin, red liquorice, cranberry and pomegranate, with a subtle savoury nuance adding depth.

Viticulture & Winemaking

Region: Margaret River, Western Australia
Varietal: 100% Shiraz
Clones: Waldron and WA Selection

Vinification: Each parcel had short-term skin contact, then was run off to tank for juice fining, settling and racking before fermentation. A portion (30%) was barrel fermented in French oak barriques, with the remainder fermented in tank at low temperatures over around two weeks to preserve freshness and aromatics. The barrel component adds subtle complexity and layered texture. Post fermentation the wine was lightly fined, fully stabilised and bottled.
