The Leeuwin Estate Siblings Shiraz of 2024 is a vibrant, varietally expressive red shaped by a warm, dry Margaret River season. With the last meaningful rain falling back in mid-September, the vintage moved quickly and delivered Shiraz with real concentration and natural power, yet still held in balance by a lively acid line. Fruit from the southern end of the region plays a key role in the style, bringing that signature mix of ripe blue and red fruits with lifted aromatics.
In the glass, it’s all mulberries, boysenberries and black pastille, backed by fennel frond, violets and a neatly judged spice lift of cardamom and nutmeg. The palate is rich and layered, scrolling into dark chocolate tannins and subtle anise, then finishing clean, fresh and mouthwatering. A seriously good “Siblings” release that drinks beautifully now and will reward a few years in the cellar.
