Colour: Deep crimson red with dark ruby tones.

Aromatics: Dark plum, blackberry and blueberry, with hints of cracked pepper, spice, cocoa and subtle cedary oak.

Palate: Generous and smooth, with ripe dark fruit at the centre. Plum, blackberry and dark cherry are supported by chocolate, spice and fine tannins, giving the wine a polished, satisfying feel.

Finish: Dry, long and savoury, with lingering dark fruit, cocoa, spice and soft oak detail.

Serving and Cellaring 

Serve: 16 to 18°C

If the bottle has been sitting at warm room temperature, give it 15 minutes in the fridge before serving. This keeps the fruit bright and the tannins smooth.

Decant: Not essential, but 20 to 30 minutes in a decanter or large glass will help the dark fruit, spice and chocolate notes open up.

Cellar: Drinking beautifully now, or enjoy over the next three to five years while the fruit remains rich and the tannins settle further.
