“This is a mighty good example of a varietal made from a variety that is generally used as a blending option with cabernet. The colour is deep and glowing red and crimson, while the nose exhibits an earthy black fruit combination. The palate shows a firm core of grainy tannins and neat oak, of which 20% was new. It’s smooth and seamlessly structured with just a subtle grip on the finish.”
