WinePilot – 93 Points

“Yet another fine example of Shiraz from the Margaret River region, from yet another excellent vintage. Twelve months oak maturation, the fruit quality from this region in top years (and they have a lot of them) is such that it is almost impossible not to create something exciting and special. And that applies to Cabernet and Chardonnay, as well as Shiraz. A deep red/magenta hue, the aromas include licorice, soy, beefstock, dark berries and warm earth. Good focus and balance with satiny tannins. This is still very youthful, with very good length. Attractive now and for the next six years”

  • What does “cellaring potential” mean?

Cellaring potential refers to the length of time a wine can be stored under proper conditions to develop additional complexity and character. This Shiraz can be cellared for up to 3–5 years.
