The 2025 Pierro Blanc de Blanc is made from 100% Chenin Blanc.

Earlier versions of the wine have sometimes been described as blends, but the current technical sheet confirms that the 2025 release is entirely Chenin Blanc.

Is it a sweet wine?

It is off-dry rather than completely dry.

The wine contains 12 g/L of residual sugar, providing gentle sweetness and a soft fruit character. Fresh acidity keeps the finish clean and refreshing.

What does residual sugar mean?

Residual sugar is the natural grape sugar left in the wine after fermentation has finished.

In this wine, it enhances the peach, apricot, mango and melon flavours without turning the wine into a dessert style.

What does old-vine Chenin Blanc mean?

The grapes come from Chenin Blanc vines planted at Pierro in 1980.

These established vines were approximately 45 years old at the time of the 2025 harvest.

What does whole-bunch pressed mean?

Complete bunches of grapes are placed gently into the press without first removing the stems or crushing the berries.

This can produce clean, delicate juice with fine aromatics and less harsh extraction.

Does the wine contain any oak?

No. The 2025 Pierro Blanc de Blanc was fermented entirely in stainless steel.

This preserves its fresh fruit and aromatic character without adding vanilla or toasted oak flavours.

What does it taste like?

Expect peach, nectarine, apricot, mango and melon, with a soft fruit-filled palate and a fresh, cleansing finish.
