Plume Estate nestled in the Perth Hills is one of the few wineries in Australia that grow Verdejo. It’s not a typo, it’s not Verdelho, Verdejo is a light bodied white wine with Spanish heritage.
It’s often likened to Sauvignon Blanc but it truly deserves it’s own category, with higher acidity and subtle flavours like delicate pear.
One of the best ways to drink Verdejo is alongside food and will compliment a number of dishes. As a general rule, if you have lime in the meal then Verdejo away!
