Rockcliffe Winery Malbec

Rockcliffe Winery, nestled in the gorgeous Denmark region of Western Australia, is a gem that’s been making waves since 1987. Inspired by the majestic granite cliffs that shape the vineyard, their wines capture the essence of the land, blending tradition with a touch of geological magic.

Now, let’s talk about the 2021 Rockcliffe Single Site Malbec, which has become a bit of a cult favourite at the cellar door. This Malbec is a showstopper with its deep, inviting colour that promises something special. On the nose, you’re greeted with a fabulous mix of dark plum, licorice, and lavender – it’s like a party of fruit and spice!

Take a sip and you’ll find that the bright red fruit flavours of Malbec really pop, but it’s the gravelly, earthy undertones that give this wine its unique charm. It’s packed with rich, concentrated fruit, yet it glides smoothly across your palate, showing off its intensity in style.

Pair this fantastic Malbec with anything off the grill – think juicy steaks or sticky ribs – and you’re in for a treat. It’s also brilliant with hearty stews, bringing a touch of sophistication to your meal. So grab a bottle, invite some friends, and enjoy a wine that’s all about big flavours and great times!

At Rockcliffe Winery, premium quality and sustainability go hand in hand – it’s at the core of everything we do! We source 100% of our energy from renewable solar power, with any excess energy carefully stored in lithium batteries.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Despite the convenience of having Denmark mains water just 40 metres away, we’ve opted for complete self-sufficiency in water usage. We utilise filtered dam water for irrigation and cleaning purposes, while filtered rainwater – predominantly collected from our roofs – is used to rinse anything that comes into contact with our wine, including pipes and tanks, as well as for drinking water.

Our overarching goal is to operate at the highest environmental standards possible. We’re dedicated to being as sustainable as we can, ensuring that every step of our winemaking process reflects our commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.
