Rockcliffe ZiNo Chilled Red 2022

Rockcliffe Winery, nestled in the picturesque Denmark region of Western Australia, has been a cornerstone of quality winemaking since 1987. Surrounded by the lush Karri forest and influenced by the unique granite cliffs beneath the vineyards, Rockcliffe’s wines reflect a perfect blend of tradition and terroir. The Single Site range, including this 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, highlights their commitment to crafting exceptional wines from their prime vineyard locations.

Introducing the Rockcliffe ZiNo Chilled Red 2022, a rare gem from Rockcliffe’s boutique collection. Crafted in the Burgundian Nouveau style, this limited-release Shiraz is all about vibrant, easy-going enjoyment. In the glass, the ZiNo flaunts a bright ruby colour that’s as inviting as a summer’s day. The nose is a delightful mix of cherry candy and black pepper spice, setting the stage for what’s to come.

On the palate, it’s a juicy fiesta of red fruits like raspberries, mingled with a hint of spice. This Shiraz is light to medium-bodied and refreshingly dry, perfect for sipping on warm afternoons. It’s all about fruit-forward fun, with earthy vanillin raspberry and plummy notes adding a touch of complexity. Soft tannins provide a smooth finish, making it an incredibly approachable and enjoyable wine.

Serve it chilled to enhance its refreshing character. It’s a fantastic match for light fare, like salads, grilled chicken, or even a cheeky charcuterie platter. Get ready to enjoy a fun, fruity, and oh-so-easy-drinking experience!

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Despite the convenience of having Denmark mains water just 40 metres away, we’ve opted for complete self-sufficiency in water usage. We utilise filtered dam water for irrigation and cleaning purposes, while filtered rainwater – predominantly collected from our roofs – is used to rinse anything that comes into contact with our wine, including pipes and tanks, as well as for drinking water.

Our overarching goal is to operate at the highest environmental standards possible. We’re dedicated to being as sustainable as we can, ensuring that every step of our winemaking process reflects our commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.
