Produced from 100% Pemberton estate fruit, the 2022 Silkwood Wines Walcott Pinot Noir benefits from a year of optimal growing conditions. Consistent winter and spring rainfall replenished groundwater, eliminating the need for irrigation and promoting even, healthy vine growth. A cool summer further extended the ripening period, resulting in an elegant and flavourful Pinot Noir.

The Walcott Pinot Noir opens with prominent aromas of ripe sour cherry, dark chocolate, cloves, and subtle hints of blackberry and smokiness. This enticing bouquet sets the stage for a concentrated and complex palate.

Flavours of tangy sour berries, integrated spice, and delicate smoky nuances offer a lovely mouthfeel. Matured in 100% French oak barriques—20% new and 80% two-year-old—for 10 months, this Pinot Noir achieves a balanced oak influence. The fine tannins and earthy undertones contribute to a lengthy, savoury finish.
