Woodgate Wines Carnelian 2009

It’s finally back in stock!

This exceptional liqueuer, crafted from select grapes primarily from the Gin Gin region, has undergone a remarkable maturation process. Aged in seasoned oak barrels since 2009, this wine has had ample time to develop and refine its character, resulting in a truly special offering.

The Carnelian 2009 presents a rich and complex bouquet of burnt caramel, espresso, and treacle, interwoven with nuanced hints of dark chocolate. Its long-term ageing has imparted a sumptuous, viscous texture, showcasing a powerful intensity and depth of flavour. The extended oak maturation has allowed these flavours to evolve and integrate, creating a harmonious and lingering finish.

This reserve liqueur is versatile enough to be enjoyed on various occasions—whether sipped before or after dinner, paired with a decadent dessert, or savoured beside a roaring fire. Its depth and complexity make it a memorable choice for those seeking an extraordinary wine experience.

Woodgate Wines, established in 2006, is a family-owned and operated winery. We pride ourselves on sourcing the finest fruit for our wines, which includes grapes from our 3-hectare estate vineyard as well as selected parcels from local growers. This ensures that our wine portfolio maintains its dynamic nature, constantly evolving with the introduction of new and exciting styles. As a result, our wines always remain fresh, vibrant, and uniquely individualistic, reflecting our commitment to innovation and quality. This is evident in the Bojangles Pet Nat coming in the top 25 wines at the WA Good Food Guide Awards.

Manjimup is emerging as one of Australia’s pre-eminent food production areas.

The region boasts fresh air, clean water, productive soils, and a cool/moderate climate, making it suitable for all kinds of fresh fruit and vegetable production. It is the largest producer of French Black Truffles in the southern hemisphere, and marron, the local freshwater crayfish, are found in all farm dams. Perch and Trout abound in the local river systems, and the region is also conducive to high-quality wine production.

It is increasingly becoming a popular tourist destination for those who appreciate tall green forests, outdoor activities, and gourmet food.
