About Woodgate Wines

Family-owned from the beginning. Woodgate Wines was established in 2006 and has been a family-owned and operated business involving three generations. The winery has long been associated with Manjimup and the wider Pemberton and Southern Forests area, where cool-climate conditions help produce wines with freshness, balance and regional character.

A new chapter, but the same label. Woodgate has entered a new stage in recent years, with the vineyard property sold and the cellar door now closed. Even so, the winery continues as a wine business, with remaining stock from its vineyard years still available and further releases continuing under the Woodgate label. That gives the range an interesting mix of continuity and evolution, rather than feeling like a closed chapter.

Winemaking experience behind the label. Mark Aitken brings deep regional experience to Woodgate. His background in viticulture and oenology, together with many years making wine in the Manjimup and Pemberton district, helps explain why the range feels so confident across different styles. There is a practical, hands-on feel to the wines, but also a sense that they are made by people who know the region well.
