Welcome to the charming Pierro Vineyard nestled in 65 acres of picturesque bushland, where the tranquil Willyabrup Brook meanders through, providing irrigation to our vines. Since 1980, when our first grapes were planted alongside the construction of our cellars, we’ve cultivated around 11 acres of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Rhine Riesling, and Pinot Noir grapes. Employing an age-old European technique, Pierro Winery planted the vines across a smaller area, encouraging healthy competition and resulting in fruit with exquisite flavours.

In March 1983, Pierro Wines celebrated their inaugural vintage, producing a delightful array of wines including a spicy Blanc de Blanc, a superb Chardonnay, and a smooth Sauvignon Blanc. The dedication to quality is evident in each sip, with our Spatlese Riesling from our own grapes. Initially, from 1979 to 1983, Pierro wines sourced grapes from the Margaret River area, supplemented by some from the Frankland River.

Crafted from materials sourced right here on our property, the Pierro cellars boast walls made of rammed earth, providing a naturally cool haven even on the warmest summer days. Inside, the warm tones of local jarrah hardwood complement the rustic charm of our tasting area, featuring a beautiful jarrah bar against the backdrop of local stone and rammed earth walls.

Pierro Wines winemaker, Dr. Michael Peterkin, brings a unique blend of expertise, having graduated in Medicine before pursuing a degree in grape growing and winemaking. While establishing Pierro vineyards, he lent his expertise as a consultant winemaker to several esteemed wineries in the Margaret River and Lower Great Southern districts.
