Willow Bridge Estates 2020 Solana is known as one of WA's best Tempranillo.
Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley of the Geographe wine region, fruit is sourced from the Cameron block which was planted in 2009.
Dense crimson colour, and aromatics of rose hip, licorice and black jube on the nose.
A style which exudes vibrancy and complexity. Blueberry fruits with dark plums on the palate. Powerful, long and lingering, loads of plum and dark berry fruits sitting neatly with savoury tannin and licks of vanilla.
100% barrel matured in new and old oak puncheons and hogsheads. The new oak component is evident on the nose, but once this wine is in your mouth the fruit intensity is on high: it can wear the oak gracefully. Purity and texture are the calling cards here. Crunchy acidity keeps this refreshing and taut; the length of flavour is very good.
