Wills Domain
Wills Domain is a distinctive Margaret River winery known for refined wines, a strong hospitality offering and a setting that brings together vineyard, restaurant and cellar door in one of the region’s most picturesque pockets. Based in Yallingup’s Gunyulgup Valley, it is a producer that combines wine quality with a broader sense of place and experience.
About Wills Domain
Wills Domain was founded in 2000 by Darren Haunold and has grown into one of Margaret River’s more recognisable boutique wineries. From the beginning, the winery has carried a slightly broader vision than wine alone, bringing together vineyard, food and hospitality in a way that feels natural rather than forced.
That wider identity is part of what makes Wills Domain memorable. It is not only a winery with a strong range of Margaret River wines, but also a place people associate with lunch, tasting experiences and time spent enjoying the property itself.
The Gunyulgup Valley and the Wills Domain style
Wills Domain sits in the Gunyulgup Valley in Yallingup, a well-regarded part of Margaret River known for quality vineyard land and a strong regional character. That setting gives the winery a natural connection to the classic strengths of Margaret River, with wines that tend to show polish, balance and varietal definition.
The range includes both the Eightfold and Paladin Hill labels, giving Wills Domain a good sense of depth across different styles and price points. Whether you are drawn to Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz or other classic Margaret River varieties, the wines feel confident, composed and clearly regional.
A winery shaped by wine and hospitality
Part of what sets Wills Domain apart is the way wine and hospitality sit side by side. The cellar door, restaurant and estate views all contribute to the winery’s identity, giving it a fuller sense of place than producers focused only on bottle sales. That makes Wills Domain one of those wineries people often remember not just for a particular wine, but for the overall experience around it.
That broader appeal does not take away from the wines themselves. If anything, it strengthens the identity of the winery, because the range still feels anchored in Margaret River fruit, thoughtful winemaking and a clear sense of quality.
