Power ~ Precision ~ Smooth

The Kerrigan + Berry wines represent the pinnacle of collaboration between two of Western Australia’s most respected winemakers – Michael Kerrigan (Hay Shed Hill) and Gavin Berry (West Cape Howe). Crafted from exceptional fruit sourced from Frankland River, this Shiraz captures the bold, smooth and precision that define the region. Rich, dark and brooding yet beautifully structured, this is a wine built for both immediate indulgence and graceful cellaring.

Why You Will Love It

  • Iconic collaboration – crafted by Michael Kerrigan & Gavin Berry, two iconic Western Australian winemaking veterans.
  • Frankland pedigree – Shiraz grown in Western Australia’s best conditions for depth and purity in a shiraz. The 2023 vintage in the Frankland River was an absolute cracker too!
  • Dense & complex – layers of dark cherry, chocolate, spice and fine oak integration.
  • Matured to perfection – 15 months in 100% French oak barriques for texture and refinement.
  • Cellar-worthy structure – powerful and brooding now, evolving beautifully over the decade.

  • Finish: Long, layered and finely textured, hinting at the greatness still to come.

FAQ Wine Terms 🧐

Why Frankland River Shiraz?
The region’s warm days and cool nights build fruit power and natural acidity – ideal for structured, complex Shiraz. 2023 was a fantastic vintage producing a fuller bodied Syrah styling.

How does the French oak influence the wine?
It adds subtle spice, fine tannins and depth without overshadowing the purity of the fruit.

Why decant young Shiraz?
Oxygen helps release the dense aromatics and soften the firm tannins, revealing layers of fruit and spice.
