Why You’ll Love It ❤️

  • 🍇 Rare expression – single-varietal Petit Verdot from Margaret River
  • 🌿 Earthy & plush – black fruit, cocoa, herbs, and a savoury core
  • 🪵 Oak in harmony – 15 months in French oak (20% new) for depth, not dominance
  • 💪 Built to age – tannic structure and natural acidity for graceful cellaring
  • 🏆 Critically acclaimed – 94 points from Ray Jordan

Awards 🏆

94 Points – Ray Jordan
“This is a mighty good example of a varietal made from a variety that is generally used as a blending option with cabernet. The colour is deep and glowing red and crimson, while the nose exhibits an earthy black fruit combination. The palate shows a firm core of grainy tannins and neat oak, of which 20% was new. It’s smooth and seamlessly structured with just a subtle grip on the finish.”

FAQ Wine Terms 🧐

What is Petit Verdot, and why is it special?
Petit Verdot is a late-ripening Bordeaux grape known for deep colour, firm tannin, and intense aromatics. Typically used in blends, it shines solo when grown in the right climate—like Margaret River.

Why is Margaret River ideal for Petit Verdot?
Its warm, dry ripening conditions allow full phenolic development, balancing power with finesse and natural acidity—essential for age-worthy structure.

How does oak influence the wine?
Aged for 15 months in French oak (20% new), the oak adds savoury spice, gentle toast, and polish—supporting, not overshadowing, the fruit.
