Tasting Notes

Aromatics: Fresh citrus zest, ripe pear, subtle marzipan and white flowers.

Palate: Composed and pure, with zesty lemon-lime, crisp grapefruit, and hints of pear, finishing with savoury herbs and a gentle salty tang. A chalky texture and long, tangy tail of acidity provide lift and refreshment.

Style: Aromatic, dry and zippy with fine texture and vibrancy – Mediterranean in soul, Australian in identity.

“We spent seven years researching and preparing for this Albariño. Its natural acidity and aromatic depth make it perfect for our climate and soils. This release expresses finesse and authenticity with a Swan Valley twist.”

• Region: Swan Valley (Lower Swan)

• Vineyard: Estate block

• Soils: Sandy/loam – free-draining with aromatic lift

• Winemaking: Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, cool fermented in stainless steel for freshness and clarity. Minimal handling, no oak or lees contact, to retain varietal character.

• Alcohol: 13.5%

• Acidity (TA): 7.25 g/L

• pH: 3.35

• Residual Sugar: <0.5 g/L

• Preservative Use: Minimal

• Drink: Now – 2034

• Best Temp: Serve chilled at 8–10°C

• Glassware: Universal white or Riesling-style glass

• Storage: Upright in cool, dark conditions

I have been buying my wines from Kirk for about two years now and I have never had a bad experience or wine. I love the fact that the wines are all West Australian, so supporting local and lower carbon footprint. He delivers when it’s convenient for me and brings the wine to my door.
