This wine was picked and selected from one of the oldest and original Chenin Blanc vineyards located at the original Houghton’s Vineyard in the Swan Valley which dates back to 1965.

It’s a slightly more restrained version than previously showing less obvious fruit though the lemon rind and lightly tropical notes on the nose are immediately appealing. The palate is more flinty and fine with a pure persistence. Has such a beautiful mouth feel.

Hand-Picked, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel, to ensure finesse, freshness and balance. Only the finest juice has been extracted and fermented at very low temperatures to ensure and preserve this wine and varieties complex yet sophisticated bouquet. Hot, intense growing conditions lead to highly anticipated characters of typical Swan Valley Chenin Blanc, exhibiting aromas of fresh kiwifruit, guava and ripe citrus fruit characters.
