Deep Woods

Autumn Harvest Riesling 2023 (Slightly Sweet)

partners in wine wa gold rating

Deep Woods Autumn Harvest

The Deep Woods Estate Autumn Harvest is a late picked, lower alcohol Riesling (9%) that is a true stand out. From the first sniff, you’re welcomed by intriguing aromas of flint, honeysuckle, and Meyer lemon. On the palate, it’s lush and generous, showcasing sweet flavours of white peach and freshly cut pear.

The wine finishes clean and crisp, with those delightful fruit flavours lingering on the palate. It’s a medium dry Riesling, where the residual sugar perfectly balances the natural acidity, creating a harmonious and refreshing experience. This balance makes the wine both satisfying and versatile, ideal for various occasions.

Pairs very well with Thai food or a spicy curry, plus being a lower alcohol wine it’s well suited to a breakfast or brunch setting.

Deep Woods Winery is situated in the heart of the Yallingup rolling hills within Margaret River, perched atop a ridge that offers panoramic views of the valley, enveloped by majestic jarrah and marri trees. The terroir of this location is truly unique; characterized by deep, sandy gravels overlaying clay, and influenced by the Indian Ocean and Great Southern Ocean. We take immense pride in being part of this esteemed wine region.

Since becoming a part of the Fogarty Wine Group in 2005, our vineyards have undergone revitalization, implementing a sustainable maintenance program aimed at enhancing fruit quality and yielding smaller, yet superior crops. It is with great pride that we announce our vineyards have been certified sustainable under Sustainable Winegrowing Australia as of 2024. This commitment to sustainability has resulted in exceptional fruit and the production of premium wines, including award-winning Cabernet and Chardonnay, crafted in limited batches on-site.
