Rockcliffe Winery
The journey of Rockcliffe began in 1987 when the first vines of Pinot and Chardonnay were planted, marking the inception of what would become a pioneering endeavour in the district.

Below Rockcliffe Winery, the granite cliffs form the backbone of our unique terroir. These ancient cliffs inspire our name and contribute a distinctive character to our wines. The vines reach deep into the granite’s fractures, drawing essential water and nutrients that give our wines their exceptional flavours. This perfect blend of land and vines captures the essence of Rockcliffe Winery, harmoniously merging tradition with our remarkable geological features.
At Rockcliffe Winery, we’re passionate about both premium quality and sustainability. We proudly source 100% of our energy from renewable solar power, with any excess stored in cutting-edge lithium batteries. It’s all part of our commitment to making great wines while caring for the planet!

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Even though Denmark mains water is just 40 metres away, we’ve chosen to be completely self-sufficient with our water usage. We use filtered dam water for irrigation and cleaning, while filtered rainwater—primarily collected from our roofs—is used to rinse everything that comes into contact with our wine, including pipes and tanks, as well as for drinking water.
Our goal is to operate at the highest environmental standards possible. We’re dedicated to being as sustainable as we can, ensuring that every step of our winemaking process reflects our commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.
