The Rockcliffe Single Site Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a beautifully classic Great Southern cabernet with real drive and polish. It opens with dark berry perfume, blackcurrant and black cherry, plus a subtle mint lift and earthy depth. The palate is firm and focused, built around ripe fruit and fine, chewy tannins that feel chalky and mineral rather than hard or rustic. There’s also a darker thread of plum and cocoa-dusted chocolate through the middle, then a long, mouthwatering finish and that savoury edge that the top Great Southern reds show.
